The collection contains 1703 pieces. It is composed from the following collections:
                    - collection of naturalized pieces - 600 pieces collected from the Romanian territory, especially from the Danube Delta and Dobrudja, in the period 1959 - 2004;
                    - collection of study skins - 780 pieces collected from the Danube Delta and Dobrudja territories, in the period 1947-1955;
                    - egg collection - 323 clutches of Romanian ornithological fauna (Danube Delta, Dobrudja) and also from Africa and Australia.
